Kids love interacting with the natural world and learning about plants and animals. To teach them about how plants grow, Miss Taylor runs a lunchtime activity club called Garden Gremlins.
The activity takes place in our shade house. Our little gremlins have planted a number of vegetable seeds and are waiting to see them pop up out of the soil. When they get big enough, the seedlings will be planted into some raised vegie beds at the back of the shade house.
Agriculture is a big part of the Scenic Rim, so growing vegetables is part of our ties to the wider community. When the vegetables are big enough to be harvested, the best will be gathered together to be submitted into the Beaudesert Show.
