Here at Tamrookum State School we work to foster creativity and inspiration.
Being creative is not just about having fun. While children find them relaxing and enjoyable, creative activities also allow children to express themselves, to problem-solve, to explore the world around them and to develop their own unique personality.
Arts activities are embedded into our curriculum all the way from Prep through to Year 6.
Our students explore making art with materials such as paint, pastels and varied craft materials.
Music develops skills in understanding tempo, pitch and timing. We also combine music and movement with our Dance Program. Every year, we engage Dance Fever to deliver a range of lessons that introduce students to different styles of dance. Apart from the incorporation of the musical element, the Dance Program also excels at developing fitness, flexibility, coordination and gross motor skills.
